Antenna Season Delayed, Again

22F and a cold north wind sure doesn't seem promising for antenna work.

  1. Everything else was sequestered so I'm sure summer was, too. I'm using salt pellets to expedite the melting of ice and snow from my vertical and tower base. I love winter but I've had enough this year.

I see we are to be in the 70's by the weekend and the forecast looks promising! I will begin the WPX contest but by the time the contest is over, I'm hopeful to have very little metal in the air. I did look at the solar forecast and see we are supposed to be brushed by another solar wind. I think between space weather and local weather, I'm ready for a vacation where temps are warm and propagation is friendly. :0)
